Make Bartlem Park even better
This November 2nd we have the unique opportunity to vote on an initiative that will update and enhance Bartlem Park, Cheshire’s signature recreational area.
Recently, the Town Council unanimously voted to include money in Cheshire’s budget for improvements to that will include:
Increased community gathering space
Venue for performing arts
Quarter-mile walking trail
Two new synthetic fields with lights
This is up for referendum and will be on the ballot on November 2nd. These improvements will serve to support homeowner property values, provide more space for community-based activities, and offer more playing fields for Cheshire’s growing athletic programs. Tax impact to the average Cheshire homeowner is approximately $46.28/year over 20 years…that’s less than $4 a month!
Now, we need the help and votes from constituents (YOU!) to help make these improvements happen! You can support this effort in 3 key ways:
Forward this information to your local networks – we want as many people as possible to be aware of this and turn up to vote
Go to the polls on November 2nd and vote YES! to Question #2
Question text will read: #2) Shall Town of Cheshire appropriate $7,900,000 for the development of the Chapman/Bartlem Park South and authorize the issue of $7,900,000 bonds and notes to finance the appropriation?
