DartmouthCollege graduate Brad Heritage was selected 2nd in the 4th round and was the 33rd pick overall by the San Francisco Dragons in the 2006 MLL draft. Brad played on a CYL team that was a runner-up to Greenwich in the 1998 CONNY tournament. He continued his play at CheshireHigh School and played on the 2002 State Championship team.

Brad, who co-captained the Big Green in 2006, was selected All New England in both his junior and senior years. Additionally, in his senior year was selected to First Team All-Ivy and played in the East-West Senior All Star game.

Brad was an instrumental contributor in turning the Dartmouth program around. In the four years prior to his arrival, Dartmouth’s combined Ivy League record was 3-21. In Brad’s four years, that record improved to 15-9.

Kevin Thibadeau
Washington College graduate Kevin Thibadeau was selected by the Long Island Lizards in the 2007 Major League Lacrosse supplemental draft held earlier today. Thibadeau, who was named to the 2006 NCAA Division III All-American Team and graduated last May. Kevin played on a CYL team that was a runner-up to Greenwich in the 1998 CONNY tournament and went on to play his high school lacrosse at Avon Old Farms.

Thibadeau finished an outstanding collegiate career in 2006 by earning Team Most Valuable Player and All-Centennial Conference second team honors for the second consecutive year. He posted a .678 save percentage and a 6.03 goals-against average in 2006, ranking in the top five in Division III in both categories.

In four years at Washington, Thibadeau, a 2006 North/South Senior All-Star, posted a career goals against average of 6.14 and a career save percentage of .677. He also finished his career with 27 wins in goal against 10 losses.

Thibadeau was one of two goalies picked by the Lizards in the 2007 supplemental draft; the other was 2006 Villanova graduate Joe Canuso. Thibadeau and Canuso are expected to battle for the Lizards' starting goalie spot in 2007 after the retirement of Greg Cattrano.

"We could not be happier with how our draft went," said Jim Mule, head coach of the Lizards. "With the retirement of Greg Cattrano after last season we were left with only one goalie on our roster so it was important that we gain some depth at the position. We think Joe Canuso and Kevin Thibadeau are solid players and can battle for the starting job”.
