RAM JAM '09

Thank you to our Guest Teams and Cheshire Teams for attending the Cheshire Ram Jam 2009.

We hope all of the girls had a great day of lacrosse and fun, despite the rough, squishy, delayed start. By mid-morning the sun came out and the weather was back on our side!
We enjoyed having guests to our fields and hope to see you all next year. Thank you to all the parents who endured the weather delay along with the players, coaches and refs.
We had 32 teams competing on five fields which provided a good day of games. The grill area kept us supplied with cold beverages and food.
Thanks to DJ Doug, the tunes were there to keep the crowd entertained and provide some dance breaks. We hope our audio expansion made the announcements loud enough for the front fields.
Cheshire Sport was there giving us the chance to get equipment and some new clothes. Many of us tried our luck at the prizes thanks to some wonderful sponsors.
A huge thanks to all of the volunteers who made this event! The event went smoothly and this is thanks to all of our great parent volunteers who helped out. Without this excellent crew of people working, this event would not have happened.
All of this and a great group of teams made for a great Jamboree!

I hope the players had a good lax day. As that great poet Cyndi Lauper said "Girls just want to have fun." and I hope this year's Ram Jam allowed this opportunity.

"Once again it was agreat experience for all. We look forward to next year. "
"Thank you for a great day. It was planed perfectly and we had a great day of lacrosse.
This is the best way I have ended a season in quite some time."
"Wonderful experience all around. We didn’t have to change field areas too often, great entertainment, great teams to play against. We all had a fabulous time."
"Thank you for hosting another great jamboree. This is our second year as lax Bantam parents coaching and playing. I can't think of anything you should do different...it's well organized. The girls, and the parents as well, had a wonderful time. Even the weather did not deter these girls from playing hard and having a whole lot of fun. What a great way for us to end our season as always."
"Our girls had such a GREAT time at the Ram Jam"

Thank you to everyone and hope to see you at Ram Jam '10!

Thank you for attending the first Cheshire Ram Jam. We hope all of the girls had a great day of lacrosse and fun, despite the high temps.
We enjoyed having guests to our fields and hope to see you all next year. Thank you to all the parents who endured the weather along with the players, coaches and refs.
We had 23 teams competing on the fields providing a good day of games. The grill area kept us supplied with cold beverages and food. Behind field 2, we were testing to see who was the Hot Shot of the day to beat. Photographs from the Ram Jam have been posted on the following website for purchase from Doug Polnar Photography
Thanks to Coach Brown's husband, DJ Doug, the tunes were there to keep the crowd entertained and provide some dance breaks.
Cheshire Sport was there giving us the chance to get equipment and some new clothes. Right next door to Cheshire Sport we could get some new gems to wear out that night. Many of us tried our luck at the prizes thanks to some wonderful sponsors.
Cheshire Community Pool was packed, providing cool relief from the heat. We got out of there before the storm rolled through, it was kind enough to wait until only one game went unplayed and we were all packed up.
We would like to recognize our three Hot Shots Champs. We will all have to be on watch when these girls are charging the goal!
Senior Division: Olivia Larson, Cheshire
Junior Division: Shannon Walsh, Ridgefield
Bantam Division: Katie Malison, Guilford
Also, I have heard the t-shirts were sold out early in the day. If anyone on your team is interested in a shirt, please let me know. If there is enough interest, I will see if I can get another run of shirts to commemorate the event.
A huge thanks to all of the volunteers who made this event! The event went smoothly and this is thanks to all of our great parent volunteers who helped out. Without this excellent crew of people working, this event would not have happened.
All of this and a great group of teams made for a great Jamboree!
When the idea of Ram Jam came about, my measurement for a successful event was that all of the guest players/Coaches and Cheshire players/Coaches would have a day of lacrosse and fun. I hopefully have met this goal. I welcome any feedback so we can improve off of Ram Jam '08, please feel free to e-mail me at .

"Despite the heat, the event was well organized and run! We stayed until the end of our team’s games (Bantam 4th grade). My daughter and I came away with very positive thoughts about the event and Cheshire Lacrosse, so THANK YOU! "
We all had a GREAT time and thank you for everything. "
"Great Job!! I think everything went really well, and trust me I've been to my share of Jamboree's. Be sure to keep us in mind for next year's event."

"Our team had a great time and experience. "

"Where else can you play lacrosse, cool off between games in the pool, have lunch and ice cream, shop, dance, and have a playground and a scakeboard park available so that the brothers and sisters of the players have fun, too. "

Thank you to everyone and hope to see you at Ram Jam '09!
